Child Watch Center
Ages 6 weeks to 10 years
The Child Watch Center is short-term child care services offerred for a small fee to members and program participants while using the facility. In accordance with the mission of the YMCA of the Columbia Willamette, the Child Watch Center's goal is to meet the needs of children by providing activities in an emotionally warm, physically safe, clean and fun environment. 

The Child Watch Center will provide opportunities for positive social learning and interaction. Parents and guardians must remain in the facility while using child watch. 

Hours of Operation
Monday – Friday 
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 

Monday and Wednesday
4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Saturdays
9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  

Closed on Sunday

Time limit: Since we are a drop in facility and not a day care, we ask that you observe the daily two hour time limit in Child Watch.

 

Drop 'N' Shop
Also available to YMCA members is our Drop 'N' Shop program. Parents may leave the facility to run errands or shop while their children stay and play at the YMCA. There is a 3-hour daily limit for Drop 'N' Shop*.

 

Fees

Members

1 child = $2.00 per hour
2 children = $3.00 per hour

 

Guests

1 child = $3.00 per hour
2 children = $5.00 per hour

 

Drop 'N' Shop Fees
$4.00/hour per child  – YMCA members

$8.00/hour per child – Guests of members

Late fee: $1.00/minute per child  

 

Child Watch Center Payment Card
Payment for our Child Watch Center has just become easier. Parents can now purchase a pre-paid card ($5, $10, $15 or $20) at the Welcome Center and fees are deducted from the card in the Child Watch Center each time the child comes in.

Reservations
Reservations must be made for all children 6 weeks – 2 years of age and for all Drop 'N' Shop participants.

Donations
If you would like to make a donation of any of the following items, or other items, to our Child watch center, please contact the Child Watch Center.

• Toys for all ages
• Baby wipes
• Dress up clothes for males and females (no hats, please)
• Craft supplies
• Childrens socks for using the ballroom (no holes, please)
